Basically, take all of your ingredients, minus the caramels, and mix them together. I added some instant coffee powder because I felt like getting fancy.
If you're mixing in a bowl, then pour the mixture into your mug. Drop the caramels in, one at a time. If you don't have any salted caramels, add some salt to the mixture when you drop in the caramels. If you're like me, and your family ate all of the caramels in the house, then add a few squeezes of caramel sauce.
Now microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. I did 1 minute and 15 seconds to make sure it didn't dry out.
Ta-da! Your very own individual serving of cake. Yummy.
It was pretty good, for a mug cake. The coffee added some nice flavor, too :).

Chocolate and Salted Caramel Mug Cake
Ingredients:
4 T all purpose flour
4 T sugar
3 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 egg (beaten)
3 T skim milk
1 T vegetable oil
2 salted caramels
Instructions:
- Mix together all ingredients except for the caramels in a small bowl. When combined, pour into a mug.
- Drop the caramels into the mixture, one at a time.
- Microwave the mixture for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Eat.
